24/01/09 Adam Lawler and Hugh Byrne travelled to Alkmaar, Holland as part of a party of 25 (incl 14 u/age) track cyclists to take their track skill to the next level by learning to ride on the boards. Indoor track are shorter but have much steeper bends and are much faster!!! It is quite daunting at first on the 42 degree banking but as the speed goes up things tend to level out! By the end of the first day we were riding behind the derny and the second day had plenty of racing and timed efforts dropping off the top of the banking. A fantastic weeked. sundrive will seem so tame after this!!

04/10/08 - Triple Gold for Adam Lawler (U16) who made it a clean sweep in the Sprint, 500m TT and Scratch Race!!
28/09/08- Adam Lawler places third overall in the C/V/J/L/U16 section of the Duane Delaney Track Grand Prix
13/09/08 - Both Swords CC rider Joe Moyne (J) and Dad Dermot, achieved Track Accreditation
14/06/08 - Colm Sevatopulo 4th, beaten 2-1 in ride off for bronze in the Sprint at the National Track Championships at Eamonn Ceannt Stadium, Sundrive Road
14/06/08 - Adam takes bronze in both 500m TT and the Sprint!!! and top 6 in the scratch race.

12/06/08 Adam heads North this w/end to compete at U16 in the National Youth Track c/ships to be be held at the Orangefield Track in Belfast
18/05/08 Your club was ably represented by one of our younger and newer members Adam Lawler (U16) at todays accreditation session at Sundrive. He took to it well and we expect him back!! (Hugh)
25/05/08 Adam was back this week training at the track and is showing good promise. This week also saw the return of Swords CC's finest track rider, Colm Sevastopulo. We would love to have a group over from Swords on a Saturday to learn how to ride the track. If anyone is interested, give me a shout (Hugh)
26/04/08 Congrats to Coleen Foley and Norah Daly who had their first outing today Sat 26th April 2008 on fixed wheel track bikes at Sundrive and now joins Louise Harlwich & Bernie McNally as accredited track riders
